The Air Bleed Tube Assembly Replacement, DE Filter is an aftermarket air relief valve built to replace the original component in Pentair filter tanks. In service it purges trapped air from the top of the filter tank so the vessel fills completely with water. It is a wear item: the stem seizes and the seal leaks, which is both a nuisance drip and a safety concern on a pressure vessel.
