FAQ
Sourcing questions
Your pumps are built for the US market. Will the parts fit equipment running on 240V/50Hz?
Mechanical parts — O-rings, seals, impellers, diffusers, filter cartridges, valve components, baskets — are identical regardless of supply voltage, and fit the same way here as they do in the US. Motors and motor-driven assemblies are the exception: Australian supply is 230–240V 50Hz against 115/230V 60Hz in the US, and a 60Hz motor run on 50Hz turns roughly 17% slower, which changes flow rate and can overheat the winding. We do not substitute motors across frequencies. Tell us the part number and we will say plainly whether it is frequency-independent.
Do you supply BSP threads or only NPT?
Threaded fittings sold into the US are NPT. Australian plumbing is predominantly BSP, and the two are not interchangeable even where the nominal size matches — the thread angle and pitch differ. For any threaded item, confirm the standard when you send your list. Non-threaded parts (unions with O-ring seals, cartridges, gaskets) are unaffected.
Do you cross-reference Onga, Davey, Waterco or Astral Pool numbers?
Waterco and Astral Pool numbers are already in our index. Onga and Davey cross-references are being compiled and verified by hand — machine-matching part numbers across brands produces returns, so we would rather answer "not yet confirmed" than guess. Send the number you have and we will check it against the physical part.
How does freight and lead time work to Australia?
Sea freight from Ningbo or Shanghai to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane typically runs 14–21 days port to port, Perth and Auckland slightly longer, plus production time. We quote FOB or CIF. Air freight is available for samples and urgent service parts.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We manufacture. The tooling, moulding and quality control are ours, which is why we can tool a part that is not yet in the catalogue and why we can confirm material and dimensional questions rather than passing them along.
Wholesale pool replacement parts, direct from the factory
POOLPOINT supplies compatible replacement parts for leading American pool equipment brands including Hayward, Pentair, Jandy, Sta-Rite and Zodiac. Every part is engineered to match or exceed OEM specifications and is checked against an original sample before tooling is signed off.
We maintain a growing database of OEM cross-references and expand it every month. Search by the number stamped on the failed component and you get the compatible option with photos, cross-reference numbers and, on key parts, a 3D model for fitment verification.
As a direct manufacturer we quote factory pricing with a 50 pcs minimum, accept mixed cartons, and run private-label and OEM packaging programs for distributors building their own brand. From mold making through injection molding, assembly and inspection, production stays in house.
