36-Inch Lateral Assembly with Center Pipe for Pro Series Sand Filter — an aftermarket lateral / center pipe dimensioned to drop into Hayward filtration systems without modification. In service it collects filtered water from the bottom of the sand bed while holding the sand back. This is a consumable in practice: the slots widen or the arms snap, which sends sand into the pool. Ours is molded in reinforced thermoplastic and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
