This clamp is a compatible replacement for the Hayward original, supplied as the Noryl Flange Valve Clamp for S144T Pro Series Sand Filter. In service it holds the two halves of the filter tank together against internal pressure. It is a wear item: the band corrodes and the tensioning hardware seizes, which is a serious safety issue on a pressure vessel. Ours is made from stainless steel with reinforced hardware.
