The Clamp Assembly with Hardware for Perflex Extended-Cycle DE Filter is an aftermarket clamp built to replace the original component in Hayward filtration systems. In service it holds the two halves of the filter tank together against internal pressure. This is a consumable in practice: the band corrodes and the tensioning hardware seizes, which is a serious safety issue on a pressure vessel.
