Platinum DE Filter Element for Perflex EC40AC/EC50AC — an aftermarket filter cartridge dimensioned to drop into Hayward filtration systems without modification. In service it traps suspended particles as water passes through the pleated media. This is a consumable in practice: the pleats collapse and the media loses porosity, so pressure climbs and cycles between cleanings get shorter.
