Center Core for Clean & Clear 100 Sq Ft Cartridge Filter — an aftermarket cartridge centre core dimensioned to drop into Pentair filtration systems without modification. In service it supports the cartridge from the inside and carries filtered water out to the tank outlet, holding the pleats off the axis so they cannot collapse inward under differential pressure. This is a consumable in practice: the core cracks or its slots break out, the cartridge deforms around it, and unfiltered water bypasses through the gap. Ours is molded in reinforced thermoplastic.
