The 8-1/2-Inch Buttress Thread Closure Kit for Triton Filter, Black is an aftermarket filter head built to replace the original component in Pentair filtration systems. In service it closes the top of the filter vessel and carries the port connections and air relief. Replacement is routine: the sealing land and threads distort under pressure cycling until the vessel can no longer be sealed reliably.
