Product overview
This seal is a compatible replacement for the U.S. Seal original, supplied as the Shaft Seal Assembly, 5/8-Inch, Replacement for U.S. Seal. In service it keeps water out of the motor side of the pump while allowing the shaft to rotate. Replacement is routine: the sealing faces score and leak, which lets water reach the motor bearings — a failure that destroys the motor if left unattended.
