The Impeller with Screw, 2 HP, for TriStar and EcoStar Pump is an aftermarket impeller built to replace the original component in Hayward circulation pumps. In service it accelerates water through the volute and generates the flow and head the pump is rated for. This is a consumable in practice: the vanes wear and the eye clogs with debris, which shows up as reduced flow and lower filter pressure. Ours is molded in glass-filled thermoplastic.
