The PPC1 Salt Cell with Unions, 5-Blade, 40K Gallon, Compatible with AutoPilot is an aftermarket union / fitting built to replace the original component in AutoPilot heating, sanitizing and lighting equipment. In service it connects sections of plumbing and allows equipment to be removed without cutting pipe. Replacement is routine: the nut threads strip and the seat distorts, so the joint can no longer be sealed by hand. Ours is molded in PVC / reinforced thermoplastic.
