PBF17 is an aftermarket pleated hot tub filter cartridge, 6-5/8 in. in diameter and 6-1/4 in. long, with 18 sq ft of filter area. Top: Open, 3 3/8" ID. Bottom: Open, 4 1/2" ID.
Pleatco lists PBF17 as discontinued in its 2025-26 catalog. This cartridge keeps the original 6-5/8 x 6-1/4 in. size, so it drops into the same filter housing.
OEM cartridges it replaces: Bullfrog 10-00281.
Before ordering, measure the old cartridge — overall length, outside diameter and both end fittings. Some catalogs quote the length of threaded top-load cartridges with the thread and some without, so a quarter-inch difference between listings is common.
