Union Nut and Tailpiece, 2-Inch, Compatible with Hayward GLX-CELL — an aftermarket union / fitting dimensioned to drop into Hayward equipment-pad plumbing without modification. In service it connects sections of plumbing and allows equipment to be removed without cutting pipe. This is a consumable in practice: the nut threads strip and the seat distorts, so the joint can no longer be sealed by hand. Ours is molded in PVC / reinforced thermoplastic.
