This multiport valve is a compatible replacement for the Astral original, supplied as the Multiport Valve Kit, 2-Inch, for 30-Inch 3000 Series Sand Filter, Compatible with Astral. In service it routes flow between filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed positions from a single control. It is a wear item: the key seal wears and the detent mechanism loses positive location, so positions no longer seal cleanly.
