This valve handle / key is a compatible replacement for the Purex (Pentair) original, supplied as the Band Clamp, Knob Style, Compatible with Pentair Purex Filters. In service it gives the operator positive control of the valve position and holds it there. This is a consumable in practice: the splines and detents round off from repeated force, so the handle turns without moving the valve.
