The Center Rod for SMBW BW2036 and BW4036, Compatible with Purex (Pentair) is an aftermarket tension rod built to replace the original component in Purex (Pentair) filtration systems. In service it holds the internal filter assembly in compression so elements stay seated. Replacement is routine: threads corrode and the rod stretches, letting elements shift and bypass.
