The Filter Grid, 8-1/2 x 36-Inch, Compatible with Jacuzzi is an aftermarket filter grid / DE element built to replace the original component in Jacuzzi filtration systems. In service it provides the surface that holds the diatomaceous earth cake doing the actual filtering. This is a consumable in practice: the fabric tears and the manifold sockets split, which sends DE powder back into the pool. Ours is built with polypropylene fabric on a rigid frame.
