This filter grid / DE element is a compatible replacement for the Jacuzzi original, supplied as the Filter Grid, 7 x 12-Inch for Landslide LS40 and Avalanche Filters, Replacement for Jacuzzi. In service it provides the surface that holds the diatomaceous earth cake doing the actual filtering. This is a consumable in practice: the fabric tears and the manifold sockets split, which sends DE powder back into the pool. Ours is built with polypropylene fabric on a rigid frame.
