The Side Mount Multiport Backwash Valve, 2-Inch, for 24-Inch Sand Filters, Replacement for Astral is an aftermarket multiport valve built to replace the original component in Astral valve assemblies. In service it routes flow between filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed positions from a single control. It is a wear item: the key seal wears and the detent mechanism loses positive location, so positions no longer seal cleanly.
