Product overview
This spider gasket is a compatible replacement for the Astral original, supplied as the Rotor Spider Gasket, 2-Inch, for Multiport Backwash Valves, Replacement for Astral. In service it seals the rotating valve key against the valve body so water is routed to only one port at a time. This is a consumable in practice: the rubber compresses and takes a permanent set, letting water bypass between ports — the classic cause of a sand filter that leaks to waste. Ours is molded in EPDM rubber.
