This tank / tank body is a compatible replacement for the Sta-Rite original, supplied as the Upper Tank Shell Half, Black, for System2 Filters, Replacement for Sta-Rite. In service it is the pressure vessel that contains the filter media and the working pressure of the system. It is a wear item: the shell fatigues around fittings and mounting points after years of pressure cycling. Ours is dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
