This replacement part is a compatible replacement for the Sta-Rite original, supplied as the Safety Latch for PLM and PLD Ring, Replacement for Sta-Rite Filters. In service it is a direct-fit replacement component for the assembly it belongs to. Replacement is routine: normal wear, chemical exposure and pressure cycling eventually degrade it to the point of replacement.
