This check valve is a compatible replacement for the CMP original, supplied as the Swing Check Valve, 1.5-Inch Socket, Clear, Compatible with CMP HydroSeal. In service it allows flow in one direction only and prevents backflow into the pump or heater when the system stops. Replacement is routine: the flapper hinge fatigues and the seat wears, allowing reverse flow and loss of prime.
