This clamp is a compatible replacement for the Pentair original, supplied as the Clamp Ring Assembly for 4000 Series Filters, Compatible with Pentair. In service it holds the two halves of the filter tank together against internal pressure. It is a wear item: the band corrodes and the tensioning hardware seizes, which is a serious safety issue on a pressure vessel. Ours is made from stainless steel with reinforced hardware and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
