This air relief valve is a compatible replacement for the Baker Hydro original, supplied as the Air Relief Screen for HRV Filters, Compatible with Baker Hydro. In service it purges trapped air from the top of the filter tank so the vessel fills completely with water. Replacement is routine: the stem seizes and the seal leaks, which is both a nuisance drip and a safety concern on a pressure vessel.
