The Rotor Valve with Tapered Seal, 6-Inch, for SM and SMBW D.E. Filters, Compatible with Pentair is an aftermarket valve rotor assembly built to replace the original component in Purex (Pentair) filtration systems. In service it turns inside the valve body to select the filter, backwash or waste path, and its tapered seal keeps those paths separated. Replacement is routine: the sealing face scores and the taper no longer seats, so the valve leaks between ports and the handle gets harder to move.
