This diffuser is a compatible replacement for the Jacuzzi original, supplied as the Diffuser, 3/4-1 HP Full Rated, Compatible with Jacuzzi. In service it converts the velocity leaving the impeller into pressure and directs flow into the discharge. This is a consumable in practice: the sealing lip and locating tabs wear, letting water recirculate inside the pump instead of moving downstream. Ours is molded in reinforced thermoplastic.
