The Eye Seal Ring for Cygnet, J, JCM, K and KM Series Pumps, Compatible with Jacuzzi is an aftermarket seal built to replace the original component in Jacuzzi circulation pumps. In service it keeps water out of the motor side of the pump while allowing the shaft to rotate. This is a consumable in practice: the sealing faces score and leak, which lets water reach the motor bearings — a failure that destroys the motor if left unattended.
