This manifold is a compatible replacement for the Val-Pak original, supplied as the Manifold, 8-Hole, for SMBW 2024, 2036, 2048, 2060, 2072 and 1000 Series DE Filters. In service it distributes flow evenly across all filter elements and collects the filtered water. This is a consumable in practice: the element sockets crack and allow unfiltered bypass. Ours is molded in reinforced thermoplastic.
