This valve is a compatible replacement for the Lasco original, supplied as the Compact MIP Valve, 1-Inch Slip x Slip. In service it controls the direction and shut-off of flow through the equipment pad. This is a consumable in practice: the internal seals harden and the seat wears, so the valve no longer holds position or seals cleanly.
