This multiport valve is a compatible replacement for the Hayward original, supplied as the Key, Cover and Handle Assembly for Multiport and Sand Filter Valves. In service it routes flow between filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed positions from a single control. It is a wear item: the key seal wears and the detent mechanism loses positive location, so positions no longer seal cleanly.
