The Pump Strainer Basket, Replacement for Jandy JHP and JHPU Series Pumps is an aftermarket pump basket built to replace the original component in Jandy circulation pumps. In service it catches leaves and debris before they reach the impeller. This is a consumable in practice: the plastic becomes brittle from chlorine and sun exposure and the ribs crack, allowing debris straight into the pump. Ours is molded in reinforced polypropylene.
