This o-ring is a compatible replacement for the Jandy original, supplied as the FloPro FHPM Pump Diffuser, O-Ring and Backplate Bundle. In service it forms the static seal between two mating components under compression. It is a wear item: rubber hardens, flattens and cracks with heat, chlorine and UV exposure, and a failed o-ring is the most common source of air leaks and drips. Ours is molded in EPDM rubber and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
