This salt cell part is a compatible replacement for the Eco-Matic original, supplied as the ESC16 Polarity Salt Cell, Compatible with Eco-Matic ESC16 and ESC6. In service it supports the salt chlorine generator that produces sanitizer from dissolved salt. Replacement is routine: scale builds on the plates and the housing seals degrade in a high-oxidation environment.
