Vacuum Adapter, Replacement for Hydra — an aftermarket union / fitting dimensioned to drop into Hydra skimmer and cleaning circuits without modification. In service it connects sections of plumbing and allows equipment to be removed without cutting pipe. This is a consumable in practice: the nut threads strip and the seat distorts, so the joint can no longer be sealed by hand. Ours is molded in PVC / reinforced thermoplastic.
