DE Filter Grid, 36 Sq Ft, Compatible with Purex Vertical DE Filters — an aftermarket filter grid / DE element dimensioned to drop into Unicel filtration systems without modification. In service it provides the surface that holds the diatomaceous earth cake doing the actual filtering. Replacement is routine: the fabric tears and the manifold sockets split, which sends DE powder back into the pool. Ours is built with polypropylene fabric on a rigid frame.
