This check valve is a compatible replacement for the Jandy original, supplied as the 180-Degree Check Valve, 1-1/2 to 2-Inch. In service it allows flow in one direction only and prevents backflow into the pump or heater when the system stops. Replacement is routine: the flapper hinge fatigues and the seat wears, allowing reverse flow and loss of prime. Ours is dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
