This multiport valve is a compatible replacement for the Pentair original, supplied as the Multiport Valve Spring for E-9-T1 and E-9-T2, Replacement for Pentair. In service it routes flow between filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed positions from a single control. Replacement is routine: the key seal wears and the detent mechanism loses positive location, so positions no longer seal cleanly.
