This volute / housing is a compatible replacement for the Jacuzzi original, supplied as the Diverter Bottom Housing, Replacement for Jacuzzi. In service it forms the pressure chamber around the impeller and directs flow to the discharge port. It is a wear item: threaded ports and mounting bosses crack, usually from over-tightened plumbing or freeze damage. Ours is molded in reinforced thermoplastic.
