The Reducer Coupling, 2 x 1-1/2-Inch, Compatible with Lasco for ST27 and ST33 Filters is an aftermarket union / fitting built to replace the original component in Lasco equipment-pad plumbing. In service it connects sections of plumbing and allows equipment to be removed without cutting pipe. It is a wear item: the nut threads strip and the seat distorts, so the joint can no longer be sealed by hand. Ours is molded in PVC / reinforced thermoplastic.
