This union / fitting is a compatible replacement for the Pentair original, supplied as the Union Replacement Kit, SuperFlo Pump. In service it connects sections of plumbing and allows equipment to be removed without cutting pipe. Replacement is routine: the nut threads strip and the seat distorts, so the joint can no longer be sealed by hand. Ours is molded in PVC / reinforced thermoplastic.
