Sight Glass with Vacuum Projector for Hi-Flow 6-Way Multiport Valves, Replacement for Pentair — an aftermarket sight glass dimensioned to drop into Pentair valve assemblies without modification. In service it gives the operator a look at the water leaving the valve, so a backwash can be run until the water runs clear instead of by the clock; the vacuum projector keeps the glass from holding dirty water once flow stops. Replacement is routine: the clear body yellows and crazes with UV and chemical exposure until it can no longer be read, and the sealing face weeps. Fits the 1-1/2-inch six-way Hi-Flow valves built after March 1993 — earlier valves were not supplied with a sight glass.
