This multiport valve is a compatible replacement for the Pentair original, supplied as the 2-Inch Threaded Multiport Valve for D.E. Filter. In service it routes flow between filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed positions from a single control. It is a wear item: the key seal wears and the detent mechanism loses positive location, so positions no longer seal cleanly.
