This valve is a compatible replacement for the Val-Pak original, supplied as the Compression Ring for Purex SMBW Valve. In service it controls the direction and shut-off of flow through the equipment pad. Replacement is routine: the internal seals harden and the seat wears, so the valve no longer holds position or seals cleanly.
