This impeller is a compatible replacement for the Maytronics original, supplied as the Impeller Tube for Robotic Pool Cleaner, Compatible with Maytronics. In service it accelerates water through the volute and generates the flow and head the pump is rated for. It is a wear item: the vanes wear and the eye clogs with debris, which shows up as reduced flow and lower filter pressure. Ours is molded in glass-filled thermoplastic and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
