This heater part is a compatible replacement for the Sta-Rite original, supplied as the Thermistor for Max-E-Therm and MasterTemp Heaters, Replacement for Sta-Rite. In service it is part of the heating circuit that transfers energy into the pool water. This is a consumable in practice: scale and corrosion reduce transfer efficiency and eventually cause leaks.
