Strainer Basket, Compatible with Astral — an aftermarket pump basket dimensioned to drop into Astral circulation pumps without modification. In service it catches leaves and debris before they reach the impeller. This is a consumable in practice: the plastic becomes brittle from chlorine and sun exposure and the ribs crack, allowing debris straight into the pump. Ours is molded in reinforced polypropylene and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
